Create a Compose file
Choose your Bedrock settings, copy the finished file, and start your server.
What do I do with the generated file? +
- 1Install Docker and Docker Compose on the target computer or server.
- 2Save the generated file as compose.yml in a new folder.
- 3Expose the NetherNet TCP port (19132 by default) and configured UDP gameplay ports through Docker, your host firewall, provider firewall and router where applicable.
- 4Start the server with docker compose up -d and follow startup with docker compose logs -f.
- 5Open Minecraft Bedrock, add the host address and port 19132, and verify that the world data persists after a restart.
Bedrock operational notes
NetherNet (Bedrock 1.26.50+) needs TCP signaling and UDP gameplay ports. RakNet uses UDP server ports.
The /data mount contains the server package, properties, worlds, permissions and packs. Keep it persistent and back it up.
Use docker compose exec bds send-command COMMAND or attach to the container console. SSH console access is optional and must also expose port 2222/tcp.
